Introducing Subscription Billing with Hiveage

Recurring profiles in CurdBee allow you to send periodic invoices to your clients. Since its launch, this has become one of the most popular add-ons due the convenience it offered to our users: once you create a recurring profile, CurdBee automatically generates the invoice at the right time and emails it to the client or saves it as draft, according to your preference. The $5/month price tag for unlimited recurring invoices only made it even more attractive.

On the other hand, another related feature that was often requested was the option to directly charge clients periodically, instead of just sending them an invoice. This subscription billing (also known as auto-billing) was in fact a feature we ourselves wanted for the Vesess design consultancy business to manage retainer contracts. And with Hiveage, we deliver!

Subscription Billing settings in Hiveage

Adhering to the industry best practices and PCI guidelines, Hiveage will make it possible for you to manage your subscriptions effortlessly. With Hiveage’s recurring invoicing feature you can simply create a recurring invoicing schedule and get your client to accept/subscribe to the schedule instantly. Upon making the initial payment, Hiveage will store credit card details in proven and PCI compliant payment providers. It will then generate the invoice as per your pre-set schedule, charge the client’s payment source and send a payment receipt to the client.

Currently you can use auto-billing with Authorize.net and Stripe, and we plan to support Braintree and PayPal Pro soon.

If you are already using Hiveage Beta, you can test drive this feature now. We are working on increasing the number of gateways supported, as well as adding automatic payment reminders. Please stay tuned to our blog for more details as we prepare for the public launch in January!
