Hiveage, now with PayPal Pro

We have seen many changes in the online payment industry during the five years of CurdBee. As we were preparing for the private Beta launch of Hiveage, we wanted to get a better idea of what our users expected from the new app, which prompted us to run a survey of online payment gateways. PayPal Payments Pro (previously Website Payments Pro) was easily the most popular choice.

The first new gateway to be added to Hiveage was Braintree (since then PayPal has gone ahead and acquired them!), and today we introduce PayPal Pro. With this update to Hiveage you can use PayPal Pro as a direct credit card processor. It is proving to be a very attractive option for merchants who would like to get rid of the complexities of maintaining separate merchant accounts. With Hiveage’s enhanced reports, PayPal Pro could end up being the easiest and most convenient way to process credit cards for many of our users.

We’re currently working on adding auto-billing to Hiveage, which should greatly improve your online billing experience. When that goes live, PayPal Pro will be one of the first gateways to be supported. You can then use PayPal Pro to keep your client’s card on file and charge automatically for recurring payments.

We would like to send out some Hiveage Beta invitations to CurdBee users who could help us test the PayPal Pro integration. Please leave a comment or email [email protected] if you’re interested.
