We’re ten years old!

We’re ten years old today! Even in the grand scheme of things, that’s quite a big number, and we’re simultaneously proud that we’re here, and humbled that we’ve been privileged enough to make this journey.

Vesess began in a boarded up house owned by one of our co-founders, Asantha. From there, we moved to the Concept Nursery, the first, and perhaps the only technology business incubator in Sri Lanka. From there, we moved to our own office down Horton Place, Colombo, in 2006.

Though we began as a web design firm, we soon realised that our future lay in web apps, and our first online application, CurdBee, went live in 2008. This was a big step for us! Developed to scratch a personal itch, CurdBee went from being the billing platform used internally by us, to the online invoicing platform used by thousands of freelancers and SMEs the world over.

Then, in 2014, we launched Hiveage, a re-imagined CurdBee, developed from the ground up with scalability in mind. And this is how we step into our tenth year: our feet firmly fixed on the ground and our eyes always forward, looking ahead to ways in which we can serve you better, because in the end, that’s our focus.

You. Some of you have been with us since we first began our journey ten years ago, and many of you have joined us along the way as clients and users. Wherever we met you though, we’re just glad that you are here, stepping with us into another decade of great web design and rock solid web apps. Thank you for sharing these first ten years with us. We look forward to many more years of making things that you love to use!
